Break-In at IndyFeral

Over the weekend, a thief broke in to IndyFeral‘s food pantry and stole all of their dry cat food, a window air conditioner, and some tools. IndyFeral has been working since 2002 to control the growth of Indianapolis’s feral and stray cat population. They also help to keep stray and feral cats healthy by providing a spay/neuter program, food and low-cost medical care.

This is the note that was posted on IndyFeral’s Facebook page earlier today.

Feral Friends,

Our food pantry was broken into over the weekend and all of our dry donated cat food for our caretakers was stolen. Many of our caretakers rely on this food to supplement the feeding of their colony cats. We are currently accepting donations of dry cat food in an effort to resupply the pantry as the need is great. Donations can be dropped off at Indianapolis area PetSupply plus stores or at IndyFeral.

Additional items which were taken include: our window air conditioner unit and all of our tools for shelter building. These items included box cutters, 2  jigsaws, 2-3 power drills and a supply of tarps. If you have any of these items you would like to donate for our shelter building program please contact me for details. Shelter building is just around the corner.

Thank you for all your support,

Lisa

Item donations are accepted at Indianapolis-area Pet Supplies “Plus” locations. Tax-deductible monetary donations can be made by check, credit card, or Paypal submission.

Let’s help this great organization get back what they’ve lost.
