Last year’s event was AMAZING – we had so many fantastic people come out and ride for the unwanted and abandoned animals of Hamilton County.

We are working on the details of the this year’s stops, and will share that information as soon as we have it – along with where to buy tickets, sign up, etc.

The cost is $40 per rider and all proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Hamilton County!

Come out to the Clay Terrace Mall for Moochie & Co.’s Rescue & Fashion Rally to help local rescue groups and organizations. Come and enjoy local rescue groups, fashion boutiques, animal shelters, face painting, doggy pools, balloon sculpturing, free food, a live DJ and more! The Broad Ripple Farmer’s Market is dog-friendly, but they do have some rules:

• Dog visitors must be kept on a short lead and by their owner’s side.
• Dog visitors must be friendly to other dogs and children.
• Dog visitors must not put their paws on vendor tables.
• Dog visitors must not sniff displayed produce, plants, or food.
• Dog visitors must not pee on plants, flowers, table or tent legs, etc.
• Dog owners should come prepared to clean up after an “accident”.

Since one of our dogs is sometimes not friendly to children and another is not friendly toward other dogs, that left us with our foster failure, Olive Martini.

Even though she was nervous about everything going on at the market, Olive wanted to stop at Charlie’s Chillers, a food cart for dogs, to say hello to owner Sherri Campbell. Sherri hand-makes her gluten-free dog treats from human-grade ingredients like: white chicken, sirloin, yogurt, peanut butter, molasses, flax seeds, vegetables, brown rice and fruit. Yummy and healthy!

Sherri gave Olive a sample treat, but she was too nervous to eat it at the market, so we brought it home and shared it with her brothers.

We will do whatever you want to get that treat!

The money raised through the Indy K9 Cancer Walk will benefit Morris Animal Foundation. It will help fund critical research into preventing, treating and curing canine cancer and other diseases.
